10/17/2002
LEE COUNTY – Midpoint Center, developed by North American Properties and consisting of a 61,000 square foot Publix Supermarket with drive-through pharmacy, Target Store and 15,000 square feet of additional shop space opened October 17, 2002. The following retailers plan to open their doors soon: Blockbuster Video, Metro Cleaners, China Star, Subway, Great Clips, The Hidden Grotto, Brusters Ice Cream, Friendly Frankie’s and Nail Art & Co. The outparcels to the Shopping Center will include: Mobil Oil, Colonial Bank, Fifth Third Bank, a national fast food franchise and a national sit-down restaurant.
Midpoint Center is located at the northwest corner of Veterans Parkway and Santa Barbara Boulevard in Cape Coral, Florida. Veterans Parkway is the main east-west road on the Cape Coral peninsula and Santa Barbara Boulevard is a heavily traveled north-south road in Cape Coral. “The intersection of these two roads form the major intersection in Cape Coral,” explains Dale G. Hafele, Partner, North American Properties – Southeast, Inc. The name of the center “Midpoint” was chosen because the project is located in the exact middle of Cape Coral geographically. Cape Coral, at 115 square miles, is the second largest city in the State of Florida in terms of geographic area.
Midpoint Center has a earth-tone designed exterior complemented by professionally detailed tropical landscaping carried throughout the six outparcels.
