Overview of Job Description

The Concierge Manager will interact with internal and external guests of the property providing unparalleled service, creating and providing a seamless experience for all customers. The position will provide leadership support; and assistance to the team; train and coach as needed and enforce all policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

In order to perform daily duties and responsibilities, the Concierge Manager (Newport on the Levee) must:

  • Support the vision of the property, embodying the property brand and living the core values.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing Concierge team.
  • Identify and fully develop the inventories of services provided to guests.
  • Serve customers both on the phone and in person; providing information in response to inquiries on a variety of calls, having a broad base of knowledge in a wide variety of areas
  • Responsible for vetting process and agreements for third party amenity providers. Manages on-going relationships with these key vendors and contractors to ensure flawless execution of service.
  • Partners with the marketing team in developing and executing programs that support store sales and a unique shopping and dining experience. Attends weekly marketing meetings
  • Develops relationships with the properties retail and office tenants; leverages these relationships to build loyalty to the property.
  • Focus on improving existing programs while assisting in the creation of new and varied experiences that offer a fresh and inviting guest experience.
  • Execute hospitality, marketing and event plans on property and off – often requiring evening and weekend assignments.
  • Expertly manages administrative duties such as expense reporting and payroll and time-keeping; responsible for scheduling and time sheets.
  • Coordinate customer and guest needs with other departments as required, ensuring a seamless guest experience.
  • Ensure uniform guidelines are adhered to by Concierge always; clean and pressed and worn in the appropriate manner. Responsible for ordering uniforms and coordinating dry cleaning. 
  • Facilitate monthly Concierge meetings to stay informed of property changes, events, and promotions.
  • Other responsibilities and projects as assigned by the Marketing Director

The Concierge Manager serves as a critical member of the team for the property and is therefore expected to interact with internal and external contacts daily, as well as participate in the Manager on Duty rotation, staff meetings and other relevant responsibilities. The Concierge Manager must be deadline-driven, detail-oriented and a team player with a positive attitude who demonstrates flexibility. Responsibilities may require an adjusted work schedule, overtime and working evening and weekend hours to meet objectives and deadlines.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in hospitality or similar customer service field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented self-starter, able to work independently and part of a group.
  • Must be flexible and able to work weekends, nights and holidays to support peak hours of operation and Concierge team needs
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining professionalism always.
