Overview of Job Description

  • Classification: Non-exempt, Regular Full-Time
  • Reports to: Property Manager

The Leasing Consultant (“LC”) fulfills all leasing and customer service needs of the property.

Duties and Responsibilities

In order to perform daily duties and responsibilities, the Leasing Consultant must:

  • Serve as the primary contact for residents and prospective residents
  • Perform all marketing and leasing activities
  • Learn and adhere to Fair Housing laws
  • Apply the property’s Lease Agreement and Rent and Policy Schedule to all transactions
  • Implement sales and customer service strategies outlined in the NAP Way training.
  • Tour apartments and community amenities with prospective residents
  • Maintain targeted occupancy
  • Generate sales leads via internet listings, social media, and community outreach
  • Build and maintain resident relations
  • Coordinate resident activities
  • Accurate and timely reporting of all daily leasing activity
  • Manage and follow up with all resident and lead information through a variety of technological tools including data bases, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word
  • Prepare and present all lease contracts and related documents
  • Properly open, close, and keep the leasing office stocked to be prepared for visitors
  • Inspect leased apartments prior to move-in and report potential issues to manager and/or maintenance team
  • Inspect models, amenities, and tour path daily to identify, correct, and/or report issues
  • Gain expert area knowledge to include property, floor plans, availability, competitors, surrounding community, and local businesses/attractions
  • Demonstrate company values at all times
  • Complete additional duties or task assigned by manager

Qualifications and Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Dependable transportation
  • Successful sales or customer service related background

Compensation and Benefits

North American Properties’ Leasing Consultant position will include an excellent benefit package that includes medical, dental, life, and 401(k). It will provide a competitive salary based on the candidate’s experience.
