Overview of Job Description

Last Mile Investments ( www.lastmileinvestments.com) is a premier real estate fund manager and a North American Properties portfolio company (www.naproperties.com). Our rapidly growing national platform is focused on investing across the United States in high-quality, multi-tenant, unanchored retail centers. The platform currently owns and operates in 11 MSA's, with expectations of growing to 15+ by year-end 2022.

The Director of Leasing will be responsible for developing and implementing proactive, creative retail leasing strategies; focused on improving the Portfolio's value and quality. In addition, this position will be partnering with the other division heads (specifically acquisitions and operations), assisting in maintaining real-time market intelligence, identifying off-market acquisition opportunities, and generally expanding our network and brand in target markets.

This individual will be a core contributor to Last Mile Investment's continued growth and performance.

Duties and Responsibilities

In order to perform daily duties and responsibilities, the Director of Leasing- Last Mile Investments must:

• With the Executive Team, create the leasing, merchandising, and value-creation strategy for each asset in the Portfolio
• Execute that leasing, merchandising, and value creation strategy
• Lead portfolio reviews with a growing list of "preferred" tenants
• Maintain and build best-in-class relationships within each market
• Manage and direct all third-party leasing relationships
• Maintain a real-time perspective of market and submarket trends
• Work side-by-side with the acquisitions and operations teams to optimize our real-time understanding of sub-market trends, market rents, opportunities, risks, among other vital assessments.
• Mastery of the Portfolio
• Execute a highly accretive renewal effort
• Lead or participate in other special projects as necessary

Qualifications and Requirements

• Competitive, self-motivated, and results-focused work ethic
• Superior ability to build relationships and communicate
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think like an owner
• Consistently curious, innovative, and a student of retail real estate
• A supportive, collaborative, positive teammate
• 5+ years of retail leasing, in volume, preferably with experience within an owner/operator
• Proven track record of success; volume, quality, and creativity
• Great time management skills
• Travel required

Last Mile Investments is a partnership between North American Properties and the Last Mile Investments management team and is a real estate investment management platform currently acquiring on behalf of Fund I, its Neighborhood Retail Fund.  The focus within Fund I is on the multi-tenant neighborhood center with the following characteristics: i) assets located in highly convenient locations near the consumers home, work, or other stable traffic drivers; ii) assets leased to primarily internet and Amazon resistant retailers, and iii) a combination of stabilized assets and undermanaged/undercapitalized/value add opportunities.  This particular strategy takes advantage of the structural trends in the retail landscape and offers a tremendous opportunity for investors in a yet unseen asset class.
