Maintenance Engineer - Colony Square

Overview of Job Description

The Maintenance Engineer must be a self-motivator who requires little supervision in order to complete tasks.  Must possess good communication and writing skills to enable employee to successfully complete work orders and communicate with tenants.  Must be in adequate physical condition to perform safely the duties outlined above.  Position requires ability to move, set up and operate a high lift, as well as considerable amount of time spent on ladders, operating power tools, working with live electrical circuits. Must keep Chief or Assistant Chief Engineer informed to status of projects and any problem that may affect the day to day operation of the building.  Must be willing to work flextime, overtime and weekend projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

In order to perform daily duties and responsibilities, the Maintenance Engineer - Colony Square must:

1. Maintain and repair the lighting fixtures within the property.
2. Maintain and repair the plumbing fixtures within the property.
3. Assist General and/or HVAC Mechanics in duties or projects as needed.
4. Will assume other duties in the event of another employee’s absence.
5. Complete all tenant generated work orders the same day before leaving the property.
6. Perform all PM’s within the allocated time frame.
7. Maintain work area in a professional looking manner.
8. Maintain a professional image at all times while on property, even when not on the clock.
9. Turn in all paper work within a timely manner.
10. Keep company issued hand tools in good working condition, responsible of replacement of lost or damaged tools caused by neglect or miss use.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay is hourly and based on skill level.

This position is non-exempt.
