Overview of Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Marketing Coordinator to join Avalon’s marketing department and provide creative ideas to help achieve our goals. You will have administrative duties in developing and implementing marketing strategies through Avalon events and social media plans.

Duties and Responsibilities

In order to perform daily duties and responsibilities, the Marketing Coordinator - Avalon must:

  • Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks
  • Assist in coordinating Avalon Events with support from Marketing Manager – included but not limited to logistics meetings, event notifications, on-site presence, event recaps
  • Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g. social media)
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings for the Avalon Marketing Team and provide meeting agendas and meeting minutes for all parties involved
  • Develop and maintain positive relations with Avalon tenants and key third party vendors
  • Process and code all marketing invoices
  • Manage Avalon Marketing Budget and ensure that all expenses are tracked and recorded
  • Assist Engineering, Housekeeping, Security and all other property operations teams expectations for event logistics and inventory of equipment
  • Focus on improving existing programs and processes while assisting in the creation of new and varied programs that offer a fresh and inviting guest experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift up to 35 pounds
  • Standing up to 8 hours a day in an outdoor environment
  • Walking up to 8 hours a day
  • Stooping
  • Bending up to 4 hours a day
  • Working outdoors up to 8 hours a day
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs

The ideal candidate must demonstrate:

As a Marketing Coordinator, you will support Avalon’s Marketing Manager in all stages of marketing campaigns. Your insightful and creative contribution will help develop, expand and maintain our marketing program. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a positive attitude, is adaptable and highly organized, and has strong prioritization and time management skills.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Strong desire to learn along with professional drive
  • Solid understanding of different marketing techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Experience with all major social media channels
  • Flexible work schedule
  • Willingness to learn on the job and share experiences with other members of the team
  • Must be able to assist with Manager On Duty shifts on various weekends at Avalon
  • Excellent organizational skills and key attention to detail
  • Previous experience in event coordination is beneficial
