Overview of Job Description

NAP Florida is now focusing on projects in Florida’s Space Coast starting with LUNA Apartments in Viera, a 245-unit multifamily apartment project, a 60,000 SF class A office space in Viera, and Industrial – manufacturing developments in the Titusville area.  Other Space Coast projects are actively in the planning stages.

Duties and Responsibilities

In order to perform daily duties and responsibilities, the Project Estimator/Scheduler - Florida's Space Coast must:

  • Explore documentation to gain a deep understanding of the project requirements.
  • Prepare future project budgets based on historical costs and current market conditions.
  • Solicit, collect and evaluate consultant and subcontractor bids for scope completeness and accurate pricing.
  • Assist project managers in writing consultant and trade scopes of work during estimating turnover/buyout phase of projects.
  • Prepare relevant and reliable forecasts of estimated costs and time schedules.
  • Evaluate design revisions and owner-requested changes throughout the project life cycle to determine detailed cost and schedule impact.
  • Measure and track important metrics for risk analysis.
  • Create detailed overall project schedule coordinated closely with PM/Superintendent staff, track critical path and milestones.
  • Identify potential schedule delays and implement solutions in a timely manner.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with the key consultants and vendors.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in multi-family, commercial construction, or industrial aerospace.
  • Thorough understanding of construction scheduling, construction procedures and management principles.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, being flexible to handle changing priorities and meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Strong management skills and ability to work productively with others to foster solid client relationships.
  • Adept at identifying, investigating, and quantifying project problems in the design phase to propose corresponding alternatives and consequences.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a positive focus to solve problems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook; Adobe; and project scheduling programs, ideally Primavera P6. 

Compensation and Benefits

The Project Estimator/Scheduler will include an excellent benefits package that includes medical, dental, life, and 401(k). It will provide a competitive salary based on the candidate’s experience.
