Overview of Job Description

Perform the day-to-day accounting activities of the Company to maintain timely and accurate books and records. Provide regular financial and operational reporting to management to assist in running the business. Handle period-end closing activities to generate financial statements.

Duties and Responsibilities

In order to perform daily duties and responsibilities, the Senior Accountant, Eleeo Brands must:

• Daily accounting and financial operations work to maintain books and records
• Record inventory activity and maintain inventory records; provide regular reporting on inventory levels
• Manage cash receipt and accounts receivable collections processes 
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve any variances
• Work with the CFO to develop and maintain meaningful reporting to provide across the organization
• Assist with financial reporting within the organization on a weekly / monthly basis
• Perform general accounting activities associated with month-end and year-end close processes
• Work with other departments to make sure all activities are accounted for in a timely manner
• Assist with annual budgets and forecast updates throughout the year
• Analyze financial information for accuracy and trends – work with company personnel to explain variations in financial results
• Assist with the documentation and maintenance of policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the business and strengthen controls
• Help ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Assist with preparation for audits/reviews of financial information by outside accounting firm

Qualifications and Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA a plus
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience and proven experience in a senior accountant or similar role
• Thorough knowledge of foundational accounting concepts
• General understanding of GAAP
• Familiarity with financial statements
• Aptitude for numbers/quantitative skills; attention to detail and focus on accuracy
• Solid problem solving and analytical skills
• Experience with general ledger functions and month-end / year-end close processes
• Experience with ERP and accounting systems; NetSuite experience a plus
• Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, …)
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
