As partner and senior vice president of leasing, David Weinert is introducing the future of retail to the markets NAP serves. He is applying his more than 30 years of experience in the retail industry to carefully curate a best-in-class merchandise mix for each of NAP’s mixed-use destinations. His forward-thinking vision activates the street-level experience with vibrant storefronts, chef-driven eateries, unique entertainment concepts and more. David strongly believes in NAP’s experience-driven, mixed-use model, and he is deeply passionate about creating a better way to live, work, shop, dine and play.
Prior to joining NAP, Weinert was head of leasing for both Taubman Centers and Westfield Corporation. As head of leasing at Taubman, David led the leasing efforts of 12 million square feet of new developments, including some of the most productive assets in retail: The Mall at Short Hills, International Plaza, The Mall at Millenia, Cherry Creek, Dolphin Mall and The Shops at Crystals. At Westfield, he led the new project leasing efforts of World Trade Center and Topanga & The Village, and launched $2.6 billion in new development programs with Century City, Valley Fair and University Town Center. Outside of work, David enjoys traveling, weight lifting, yoga, playing the guitar, reading and of course, exploring new restaurants in search of undiscovered culinary talent.
