Partner and Vice President, Development, NAP Cincinnati
Jim Hobson has learned from the best. Since joining the organization in 2016, he has emulated the example of his father, Managing Partner, Tony Hobson. The lessons learned have grown as Jim has taken on more responsibility within the organization. However, the themes have remained consistent: operate with integrity, lead your team with compassion and respect, and stay hungry.
In his Asset Management role, Jim has driven the performance of nine apartment communities totaling over $250 million in value. Looking forward, he is focused on continuing to grow the portfolio by leading new ground-up multifamily projects.
Prior to joining NAP, Jim worked as Director of Account Operations at a Washington, D.C., based e-commerce startup, Unison Marketplace (formerly known as FedBid). He graduated from the College of William and Mary in 2011, where he was a first team all-conference football player. He is currently enrolled at the University of Cincinnati to obtain his Master of Business Administration degree.
Jim and his wife Theresa (Teddy) are the proud parents of three young children. When not working, spending time with his family or studying, Jim also serves on the Ambassador Board of Best Point. Best Point is a Cincinnati-based non-profit with the mission to create lasting results that strengthen families and our community by guiding individuals through comprehensive education, behavioral and health services. Jim serves as the Ambassador Board’s Recruiting Co-Chair.
