Joe Williams’ purpose lies in the long-term success of North American Properties. His passion for the company has been evident over the past 45 years as he worked tirelessly with his brother Tom to create a development firm that could truly impact the world through transforming the built environment. As Chairman of the Board at North American Properties, Joe is a retail development pioneer, impacting the Cincinnati region and making a mark with the creation and management of Northgate Mall, Florence Mall and Kenwood Plaza and other landmark projects. He has also overseen numerous other North American Properties centers and multifamily communities for hundreds of thousands of residents and shoppers.

Joe joined North American Properties as an Executive Vice President in 1970. From 1984-1994, he was the President. Since 1994, he has served as Chairman of the Board. Before coming to North American Properties, Joe served in the United States Army. He received his bachelor’s degree from Xavier University and is a licensed Real Estate Sales Agent and Broker in Ohio. Joe’s family has a long history with Major League Baseball; Joe’s father, William J. Williams, Sr., served as Vice President and owner of the Cincinnati Reds and Joe serves as Chairman of the Cincinnati Reds. In 1993, Joe became a part owner of the Baltimore Orioles, and he was an owner of the St. Louis Cardinals from 1996 to 2005.
