As Director of Innovation and Digital Assets, Jay Richard-Yu takes pride in providing NAP’s mixed-use communities with the best of the best in digital marketing, innovation and technology. He works to develop a better world through imagination, discovery, and creating cool experiences that make people smile and say “WOW”!

He has long held a passion for real estate and technology. Jay joined North American Properties in 2016 as a Social Media Manager and acted as a visual storyteller for the radical transformation of Colony Square in Midtown Atlanta, the Southeast’s first mixed-use development. He then took on the role of Digital & Innovation Manager, overseeing social and digital marketing strategies while elevating NAP’s proptech. He supported digital initiatives, integrated technology and experiential programming to ensure the strategy was well-aligned with each property’s brand, enhanced guest experience and added value to their communities.

Jay was promoted to Director of Innovation & Digital Assets in 2022 and continues to lead the charge with his team supporting the growth of the NAP portfolio. The team ensures the company’s mixed-use communities remain a leader in technology, introducing new digital assets including LED screens, interactive digital kiosks, signage, websites, experiential programming (AR/VR, 3D mapping, projection) and A/V and IT executions, and continuing to creatively push the envelope on digital initiatives in the CRE space.

Jay is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management. He is a member of the Virginia Beta Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity.

He is an avid runner and appreciates being outdoors with his miniature schnauzer, Sergeant Pepper II. Jay enjoys traveling to new and faraway places, spending time with his fiancé, Greg, and will always order macaroni and cheese if it’s on the menu.
